 Restorative Yoga & The Art of Self-Care is a gentle and supportive practice rooted in nervous system restoration, mindful movement, and embodied self-awareness.


It is an invitation to slow down.


To breathe more deeply.


To listen inward.


To reconnect with your body with greater compassion, curiosity, and care.


What I’ve learned through my own healing journey is that restoration rarely comes from pushing harder. It comes from creating space to pause long enough to notice what the body has been carrying, physically, mentally, and emotionally.


When we stop living in constant overdrive and begin paying attention, the body starts to speak. It reveals where tension has been stored, where exhaustion has accumulated, where protection has taken hold, and where softness and healing are ready to emerge.


This practice is not about performance, perfection, or achieving the “perfect pose.” It is about building a more compassionate relationship with yourself and learning how to feel safe, present, and supported within your own body again.


Through gentle movement, supported stillness, breath awareness, grounding practices, and mindful reflection, you begin to reconnect with your body’s natural rhythms and signals. Over time, this awareness helps cultivate greater balance, resilience, emotional steadiness, and self-trust.


Each session is designed to feel grounding, restorative, and accessible for all levels and life experiences. My classes are intentionally small to support a more personal, trauma-informed environment where participants feel comfortable moving at their own pace.


Using supportive props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks, chairs, and wall space, each practice is adapted in a way that encourages ease rather than strain and awareness rather than pressure.


This work is especially supportive for those navigating stress, burnout, grief, emotional overwhelm, chronic tension, life transitions, caregiving fatigue, or the simple feeling of being disconnected from themselves.


You do not need experience, flexibility, or perfection to begin.


You only need a willingness to pause, breathe, and meet yourself with greater compassion.


At the heart of this practice is the understanding that healing begins with awareness.


The more we learn to notice what we are feeling without judgment, the more the nervous system begins to soften and regulate naturally. Breath deepens. Muscles release. The mind becomes quieter. And slowly, we begin to feel more connected to ourselves again.

Over time, this practice becomes more than a yoga class.
It becomes a way of relating to yourself with greater presence, honesty, patience, and care.


Every session is a reminder that your body is not working against you.


It is communicating with you.


And when you learn how to listen with compassion instead of criticism, you begin to create a more grounded, sustainable, and supportive relationship with yourself and your well-being.

      Even though it’s a passive practice, Holistic yoga uses gentle stretching to support joint mobility and muscular release. Holding poses with props allows the body to open gradually, improving circulation and flexibility without strain.

     When the nervous system is in a relaxed state, the body can redirect energy toward repair and immune function. Holistic yoga reduces stress hormones and inflammation, which supports a healthier immune response.

    Small Group Classes

    My classes are rooted in the principles & practice of functional movement, alignment, symmetry, self-awareness, mindfulness, introspection, somatics, meditation, restoration, self-care and nervous system regulation. I invite you to participate in this unique self-discovery journey with an open mind and an open heart. The loving act of coming home to yourself through this practice can have profound benefits to your health and well-being if you are consistent and open to learning something new.

    Private Sessions

    Private and intimate one on one sessions are perfect for those seeking a more personal and customized yoga practice. I will invite you to complete an intake and assessment that will help me understand your needs and goals and we will work together to hep you attain your desired results. These classes offer the same framework as my group classes; they are functional & restorative by nature and are both integrated and restorative.

    The Healing Circle - Self Care Mastery

    The Healing Circle uses the blueprint of Self Care Master, a journey of self-discovery in this deeply nourishing group experience designed to help you put yourself on the priorty list and come home to yourself. This practice blends mindful movements, restorative, grounding and balancing practices, nourishing food, and the support of community to help you through life’s tender seasons. Each guest will receive the Self-Care Mastery and The Ten Pillars of Health workbook.

    The Healing Circle - Introduction to Self Care Mastery

    Sessions are pre-scheduled, registration and pre-payment is required. The first session is two hours and serves as an introduction to the program. During this circle, you will receive your Self Care Mastery Workbook which contains the foundational material for the journey ahead.  

    The Healing Circle - Self Care Mastery & The Ten Pillars of Health

    Sessions are pre-scheduled, registration and pre-payment is required. Each ninety-minute follow-up session deepens your journey by focusing on one pillar at a time. The teachings, resources, practices, and prompts you receive are added to your Self-Care Mastery Workbook, allowing it to expand with you as you grow.

    practice Safety & etiquette

    To maintain comfort and safety for everyone, please review and honor the following guidelines:

      

    1. Respect for Space and Community

    • Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in. Late arrivals may not be admitted once class begins.
    • Silence phones and please remove shoes at designated space.
    • Speak softly and respect the quiet, reflective atmosphere.
    • Be considerate of others’ personal space and energy.

      

    2. Registration and Attendance

    • All classes require pre-registration  and payment in advance.
    • Space is limited to maintain a small, supportive  group environment.
    • No drop-ins, unannounced guests, or same-day add-ons are permitted.

      

    3. Health and Safety

    • Please refrain from attending  class if you feel unwell, have symptoms of illness, or have been exposed to contagious conditions.
    • Inform Susan privately before class of any injuries or conditions that may affect your practice.
    • All props are sanitized and provided. You are welcome to bring your own if preferred.
    • The studio maintains clear pathways and exits at all times for safety.

      

    4. Personal and Professional Boundaries

    • This is a professional, trauma-informed environment. Physical assists are optional and consent-based.
    • Personal conversations, emotional disclosures, or touch between participants should remain respectful and appropriate.
    • Any behavior that feels intrusive, aggressive, or unsafe will result in immediate dismissal from the program.

      

    5. Confidentiality and Privacy

    • Please respect others’ privacy.
    • What is shared in class stays in class.
    • Photos or recordings are not permitted without prior consent.

    About this practice

    Step away from the noise of busy studios and discover yoga in a serene, home-based space designed for comfort, care and community. My restorative sessions are intentionally kept small, never more than five students, so you get the attention, space, and support you deserve.

      

    What Makes This Experience Unique:


    Small & Intimate: You’re not just another mat in the crowd, every session is limited to ensure you feel seen, supported, and nurtured.


    Fully Equipped: All props are provided, including bolsters, blankets, straps, and blocks, so you can arrive and simply relax.


    Personalized Support: Whether you’re here for stress relief, gentle stretching, or deep restorative rest, I adapt each class to meet your needs.


    Peaceful Setting: Enjoy the quiet, comfortable feel of a home studio with soft lighting, calming scents, and soothing music.


    What to Expect:


    Arrival:  Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in, choose your spot, and get comfortable. 


    Setup: Your mat and props will be ready for you. Feel free to bring your own if you wish.


    The Session: We’ll move slowly through supported poses, allowing time for breathwork, deep relaxation, mindfulness, self-care and gentle guidance.


    Closing: We will end with a quiet moment for reflection, enjoy some warm herbal tea and a treat from the Green Goddess Cottage, then leave feeling grounded, restored, and ready to go home relaxed and renewed.

      

    Scheduling & How to Join.


    Private Sessions: Perfect for one-on-one attention and customized practice.


    Small Group Sessions: Up to five people for an intimate shared experience.


    Pre-registration required: Space is limited, so booking ahead ensures your spot.

    cancellation & Refund Policy

    Class Cancellations by Instructor: If a class is canceled by the instructor, students may choose either a full refund or apply the payment as credit toward a future class.
     

    Student Cancellations: Refunds are available if cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled class. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before class are non-refundable but may be transferred to another class (at instructor’s discretion).
     

    No Shows: Students who do not attend a scheduled class without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
     

    Healing Circle / Special Events: Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. After that, no refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled by the instructor.
     

    Class Package: Class packages must be used within the time frame specified at purchase. Unused classes are non-refundable.

    Waiver & Release of Liability - required

    I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in yoga classes, meditation & mindfulness practices, healing circles, and related activities offered by Green Goddess Productions™ involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical exertion, use of props, and participation in restorative and mindfulness practices.
     

    I voluntarily assume all risks related to my participation and agree that I am responsible for monitoring my own condition and practicing within my limits. I understand that the instructor is not a licensed medical provider and that these activities are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
     

    In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Green Goddess Productions, its instructors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from participation in these activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

    Guidelines for a Home Practice

    Creating a gentle home practice is a powerful way to support your healing between sessions. These guidelines are here to help you shape a space and rhythm that feels grounding, accessible, and nourishing.


    Approach Your Practice with Care

    Begin slowly and patiently. Move mindfully, without pushing or forcing. This practice is not about perfection, performance, or comparison. It’s about presence. Treat yourself with honesty, sensitivity, and compassion as you build a relationship with your body.


    Create a Supportive Space

    Choose a quiet, clutter-free area where you can move comfortably. Natural light and good airflow help create ease in your practice. Turn off devices, limit distractions, and let others in your home know that you need uninterrupted time. Over time, your space will begin to hold a calming energy of its own.


    Choose a Time That Works for You

    Mornings are ideal for awakening the body, while afternoons and early evenings help release the day’s tension. Late-evening sessions should be restorative to promote restful sleep. Consistency matters more than duration. Begin with short sessions and let your practice grow naturally.


    Wear Comfortable Clothing

    Dress in soft, unrestrictive clothing that allows you to move easily. Bare feet provide the most stability and grounding during practice.


    Eat Light & Stay Hydrated

    Practice on an empty stomach when possible, or have a light snack if needed. Stay hydrated throughout the day and notice how different foods affect your energy and comfort. Adjust according to your body’s needs and consult a doctor if you have specific concerns.


    Honor Your Health

    Listen carefully to your body. Modify or pause poses that cause discomfort or strain. If you have injuries or health conditions, consult with your healthcare provider or instructor before beginning or changing your home practice.
