Welcome!
Restorative Yoga & The Art of Self-Care is a gentle practice of self-discovery and embodied healing. It’s about learning how to slow down, feel safe in your body again, and rebuild trust with yourself, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
What I’ve learned through my own recovery is that healing doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from creating space to listen, breathe, and respond with awareness and action. When we stop pushing and start noticing, the body begins to speak. It reveals where it’s holding pressure, where it’s protecting, and where it’s ready to soften.
This practice isn’t just about performance or postures. It’s about building a relationship with your body, learning its language, noticing its cues, and understanding what it needs from you. Your attention. Through functional, mindful movement and supported stillness, you start to see how tension, emotion, and resilience all live within the body. Over time, you learn to release that pressure, restore balance, and reconnect with your natural rhythm and sense of safety.
Each session is an invitation to be curious rather than critical, to observe instead of react. When we bring awareness to what we feel without trying to fix or control it, the nervous system begins to regulate naturally. Breath deepens. Muscles soften. The mind settles. And that’s where restoration begins, in the quiet, compassionate practice of letting your body lead.
You’ll explore how functional, mindful and intentional movement helps release stored pressure and fatigue, the kind that shows up as anxiety, irritability, or exhaustion. As the body unwinds, the mind follows. This gentle rhythm shifts the nervous system out of fight-or-flight or freeze states, supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and buoyancy.
My sessions are intentionally small to create a safe, trauma-informed environment for restoration and learning. Using props like bolsters, blankets, blocks, chairs, and wall space, each participant is supported in a way that feels grounding rather than demanding.
Participants will receive a gentle and caring self-care protocol and educational takeaway that can be integrated into daily life.
You’ll leave each class feeling grounded, clear, and more connected, not because you worked harder, but because you gave yourself permission to rest and recalibrate.
Who This Practice Is For
This practice is for anyone navigating life’s tender seasons, those who feel tired, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and are ready to restore from within. It’s especially supportive for individuals recovering from trauma, burnout, grief, chronic stress, or emotional fatigue.
You don’t need flexibility, experience, or perfection. You only need an open mind and a willingness to pause, breathe, and let your body show you the way home.
This practice is for everyone.
The Heart of the Practice
Restorative Yoga & The Art of Self-Care is an extension of my philosophy of learning to take compassionate, consistent responsibility and action for your well-being. It’s where awareness meets embodiment, and insight becomes integration.
This practice teaches a natural rhythm and foundation of healing through this trauma-informed sequence of:
These are more than concepts, they’re living practices. At first, they begin as skills you intentionally build. Over time, they grow into inner capacities. With continued practice, they become qualities of being that naturally anchor you in presence, self-understanding, and responsiveness. This is how recovery and healing become sustainable. And how self-care becomes a way of living, not just a routine.
Every session is a gentle reminder that your body is not the enemy, it’s your greatest source of wisdom. Through this practice, you learn to meet yourself with patience and care, to listen deeply, and to trust that your body already knows the way home.
The Promise of Practice
Over time, this work helps transform exhaustion into steadiness, reactivity into responsiveness, and disconnection into clarity. Each breath, each pause, each release is an act of self-care and courage and a moment of returning to your own center.
You’ll leave not just feeling restored but equipped with tools that help you navigate life with awareness, flexibility, and trust.
This is the heart of Restorative Yoga & The Art of Self-Care. It is more than a class, it’s a community. A refuge. A reset. A movement. A place to breathe deeply, lean in, feel supported, and reconnect to yourself.
If you are ready to move gently, feel fully, release tension both physically and mentally, and nurture yourself from the inside out, this space is for you.
Come as you are. I'm honored to share this journey with you.
Namaste!
Holistic yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system, guiding the body out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-digest mode. This promotes a deep sense of relaxation, allowing the body and mind to release tension and stress stored in the nervous system.
By calming the mind and reducing physical stress, Holsitic yoga can support better sleep patterns and deeper, more restorative rest. Regular practice may help ease insomnia and improve the body’s natural circadian rhythm.
Holistic yoga creates a safe and supportive environment where emotions can surface and be processed gently. As the body softens and the breath deepens, suppressed or unacknowledged feelings may rise to the surface, making space for healing and integration.
The stillness and spaciousness of Holistic yoga help you tune in to the subtle sensations and signals of your body. This heightened awareness fosters a deeper connection with yourself and strengthens your ability to listen to your body’s needs.
Consistent practice helps reduce the physiological effects of chronic stress, such as elevated cortisol, inflammation, and fatigue. It can serve as a powerful antidote to burnout, gently rebuilding resilience from the inside out.
Even though it’s a passive practice, Holistic yoga uses gentle stretching to support joint mobility and muscular release. Holding poses with props allows the body to open gradually, improving circulation and flexibility without strain.
When the nervous system is in a relaxed state, the body can redirect energy toward repair and immune function. Holistic yoga reduces stress hormones and inflammation, which supports a healthier immune response.
Holistic yoga invites stillness, presence, and inward reflection, creating a fertile space for spiritual awareness and insight. Many practitioners report a sense of connection to something greater, whether it’s inner wisdom, a sense of peace, or divine presence.

Creating a gentle home practice is a powerful way to support your healing between sessions. These guidelines are here to help you shape a space and rhythm that feels grounding, accessible, and nourishing.
Begin slowly and patiently. Move mindfully, without pushing or forcing. This practice is not about perfection, performance, or comparison. It’s about presence. Treat yourself with honesty, sensitivity, and compassion as you build a relationship with your body.
Choose a quiet, clutter-free area where you can move comfortably. Natural light and good airflow help create ease in your practice. Turn off devices, limit distractions, and let others in your home know that you need uninterrupted time. Over time, your space will begin to hold a calming energy of its own.
Mornings are ideal for awakening the body, while afternoons and early evenings help release the day’s tension. Late-evening sessions should be restorative to promote restful sleep. Consistency matters more than duration. Begin with short sessions and let your practice grow naturally.
Dress in soft, unrestrictive clothing that allows you to move easily. Bare feet provide the most stability and grounding during practice.
Practice on an empty stomach when possible, or have a light snack if needed. Stay hydrated throughout the day and notice how different foods affect your energy and comfort. Adjust according to your body’s needs and consult a doctor if you have specific concerns.
Listen carefully to your body. Modify or pause poses that cause discomfort or strain. If you have injuries or health conditions, consult with your healthcare provider or instructor before beginning or changing your home practice.
