I'm so glad you found your way here.
If you've spent years or maybe decades in relationships where you were manipulated, controlled, diminished, confused, blamed, invalidated, and slowly made to question your own reality, you may know how difficult it can be to make sense of an experience that is meant to destablize you.
My work is centered around helping women better understand the dynamics of emotional abuse, coercive control, manipulation, and destructive narcissistic dynamics. Understanding your lived experience in an important part of healing. But so is understanding the dynamics of coersive control and how the cycle of abuse impacts your physical, mental, emotinal and spirtual health and well-being.
When you've lived inside the cycle of abuse for a long time, it erodes the way you see yourself, the way you trust yourself, and the way your nervous system responds to the world around you. This erosion destabilizes you in a such that is so insidious and dehumanizing.
Education can help you begin to recognize the patterns of these dynamics and the impact they have on your health and wellbeing.
Your healing eventually becomes about something much bigger.
It becomes about self-accountability, radical acceptance and finding the road back home to yourself.
I created Self-Care Mastery & The Ten Pillars of Health from my own personal lived experience with a coersive controlling manipulator for 17 years, personal exploration, professional study, and a deep curiosity about what truly moves you forward, supports healing, resilience, well-being, and peace.
Your self-care is much more than taking better care of your body or creating healthier habits, although that is part of it.
This kind of radical self-care is learning to listen to yourself again.
It is a journey of rebuilding self-trust and regaining your personal power.
It is learning to radically accept the truth, honor your experiences, feelings, needs, your limits, learning from those experiences and listening to your inner voice. It is caring for your nervous system, nourishing your body, creating healthier boundaries in relationships, reconnecting with your values, and becoming an active participant in the life you are creating.
This is the mastery of self-care.
It is also giving yourself permission to ask a question many women haven't been able to ask for a very long time:
Who am I now? Who do I want to be? And how do I move forward?
Healing is internalized. It is a rememberance. It is a returning to the parts of yourself that became quiet, overlooked, exhausted, disconnected or even abandoned along the way.
My hope is that this space becomes a place where you can learn, question, reflect, heal, and begin reconnecting with yourself with greater compassion and understanding.
Healing begins by naming the truth, understanding what happened to you, the impact of your lived experiences and taking small steps forward that reconnects you with YOU. When you tap into your personal power again, empowerment awaits!
This is the heart of my work.
Understanding the dynamics of coercive control, manipulation, emotional abuse, and destructive relationship patterns can help you make sense of what you've experienced.
But healing is also learning how to care for yourself again.
Self-Care Mastery & The Ten Pillars of Health is the framework I created to help women reconnect with themselves physically, emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually.
Through education, reflective inner work, nervous system support, mindfulness, and greater self-awareness, this work is about rebuilding self-trust after years of abuse.
Restorative Yoga & The Art of Self-Care brings the principles of Self-Care Mastery and somatics into the body.
When you've lived through prolonged stress, emotional manipulation, or controlling relationship dynamics, it can become difficult to feel safe, grounded, or connected to yourself. Gentle movement, breath, rest, and somatic awareness can offer another way to begin listening to what your body has been trying to tell you.
Restorative Yoga is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your body, support your nervous system, and practice caring for yourself with greater presence, compassion, intention and LOVE.
Healing does not happen in isolation. Healing happens in community.
The Healing Circle is a space for women to come together through honest conversation, reflection, shared experience, and compassionate connection. It is a place to explore themes such as boundaries, relationships, grief, self-worth, emotional overwhelm, resilience, identity, and the ongoing process of learning how to care for ourselves.
For women who have experienced emotionally abusive, controlling, or manipulative relationship dynamics, it can also be a space to reconnect with your voice, rebuild self-trust, and begin making sense of the ways those experiences may have affected how you see yourself and move through the world.
This space is created so that you feel seen, heard, supported, and reminded that we do not have to carry every difficult season alone and in silence.
If something you've read here resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you.
Whether you are looking for education, coaching and guidance, restorative movement, or a supportive community, my offerings are designed to meet you where you are. And to support you in reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels safe, grounded and compassionate.
We can begin with a discovery conversation and explore what kind of support feels most aligned with your needs.
Supporting women who may be healing from emotionally abusive, controlling, or manipulative relationship dynamics is my calling.
A portion of my work is dedicated to making education, connection, and compassionate self-care resources more accessible to women who may need additional support along the way.
One Final Thought.....Healing is sacred work.
Now more than ever, I believe we need spaces where women can speak honestly, learn without shame, reconnect with themselves, and feel less alone.
This work is deeply sacred. It is about education, impact, understanding, self-awareness, compassion, truth, and learning how take action, to care for yourself in ways that supports the woman you are becoming.
My hope is to give you hope. To create a space where education and healing can exist together, where difficult seasons can be held with humanity, and where women can begin trusting their own voice again.
Consider this my personal invitation to come as you are.
With Love & Grace,
Susan
